Those wheels are amazing, they were made of carbon reinforced resin, imagine what wheels would be like today if that had caught on in the 70s.

I specifically looked for a photo of a car with those wheels. Sadly, they are prone to cracking and were largely recalled and destroyed. They still look awesome!

Oui Oui! Saw one of these in person twice last year months apart - one of only 2 or three of any Citroen model I’ve ever seen in person....simply gorgeous...

That’s true, but I like the fact that Michelin/Citroën dared to take this risk.
If I ever buy a Citroën SM, it must have these wheels.

Relevant fact: These wheels cost between $2-5,000 if you can find a set. Very cool though.
